mid winter - 2004- 2005
1. Dr. Arthur Cohen and Dr. Ellin Lieberman reported on the success of the Moscow workshop held in May 2004 and attended by about 180 Russian participants. Russian faculty was integrated with the Western physicians and the interchanges made for lively discussions. Dr.Cohen was the organizer and the success can be attributed to his ongoing efforts to help meet the needs of Russian physicians.
2. Dr. Ellin Lieberman reported on her June trip to St.Petersburg where she spent time with the 3 Russian faculty members who had trained in Canada and the U.S. and were utilizing their training successfully.

International Society of Nephrology Meeting - St. Louis, Missouri, November 2004
The Western team held a breakfast meeting which included Dr. Lilly Barba, Director of Renal Transplantation at Harbor UCLA. She is interested in the Project - this was her first meeting with the team. Topics of discussion were the future goals of the project, our onging commitment to postgraduate education in Russia and to figure out strategies for maintaining and expanding our current program.
